RESIDENTIAL
Student Boarding at the College
Students are accommodated in dormitories of 16, each featuring single rooms equipped with a king single bed, wardrobe, and study desk. Common areas are furnished with lounge suites, a television with Foxtel access, and a kitchen equipped with a kettle, microwave, and fridge.
Students are encouraged to personalise their rooms to create a comfortable and homely space.
Each dormitory has four showers in the shared bathroom, along with a separate shower and toilet for disabled use. Laundry needs are taken care of by the on-site commercial laundry, where students can drop off their clothes and collect them at the end of the day. There are also laundry facilities in each dormitory for students to use for their small items.

Medical Appointments
Residential staff transport students to all medical appointments in the Harvey townsite. Appointments are recommended to be made after school and coordinated through the residential team.

Meals and Nutrition
Nutritious meals are prepared using fresh produce grown on the College farm. Vegetables, fruit, eggs, meat, and milk are all supplied to the College kitchen.

Recreation and Facilities
Students have access to a wide range of recreational facilities, including:
-
An indoor gymnasium for basketball, netball, badminton, soccer, hockey, and more
-
Outdoor courts for tennis, cricket, basketball, and netball
-
A well-equipped weights room
-
A games room
For those with a musical interest, there is access to a dedicated music room where students may use College instruments or bring their own.
Evening prep sessions are held Monday through Thursday for 1 hour and 15 minutes, with residential staff available to provide support.

After-Hours Activities
A calendar of after-hours activities is available. These may include intra-school sports, movie nights, fishing trips, off-site walking trails, and pizza nights, to name a few.
Students may also register to play football or netball (boys and girls) with the Harvey Bulls Football and Netball Club. The College transports students to Harvey for training and home games. For away games, parents are required to organise their child’s transport.
The College also participates in local basketball and netball competitions through the Harvey Recreation Centre and enters a team in the Collie Hockey competition each winter.
Students who wish to access a wider range of gym equipment can be taken to the Harvey Recreation Centre to use their gym facilities.
Weekly after-school trips into the Harvey townsite are available for personal shopping.
Students are welcome to bring their horse or mountain bike for recreational use but must adhere to the After School Horse and Bike Guidelines. Designated laneways around the farm are available for walking and running.
Extracurricular opportunities include participation in Cattle Club, after-school farm training (especially when preparing for competition), after-school trades, and a MasterChef cooking class for Year 12 students. Arts and crafts sessions are also offered.

Weekend Activities
Regular Friday shopping trips to Eaton Fair and weekend activities are organised by residential staff for students who choose to stay in. These may include trips to the movies, ten-pin bowling, Adventure World, or day trips to Margaret River, Busselton, Mandurah, Fremantle, and surrounding areas.
Each year Residential staff take students on a camp to Busselton. Students spend a couple of days at the beach, fishing and canoeing. This weekend is a great opportunity for new and old students to get to know one another at the start of the year.

The College Ball
A highlight of the social calendar, the College Ball is a much-anticipated event, with students actively involved in its planning and organisation.

Pastoral Support
The College Chaplain supports the personal and social wellbeing of all students. Our current YouthCARE Chaplain, Emma Curulli, provides one-on-one pastoral care. This valuable service is available to all students. For enquiries, please contact Patrick Swallow, Student Services.
