Year 11 and 12 students are counselled into two streams either the VET (employment skills level) or TER (tertiary entrance level), this will depend on their career aspirations and academic ability. Both streams contribute to the Western Australian Certificate of Education and completion of National Accredited Qualifications.
Depending on the students ability level in Maths and English, students will be counselled into the higher level course that they are capable of to ensure that they are achieving at their highest.
v English 1A/1B or 1C/1D
v Maths 1A/1B or 1C/1D
v Accounting 1A
TER stream students will study all subjects at a high enough level to sit external exams and generate an entrance rank to access university courses.
All students will study animal and plant subjects in class and practical on farm in line with agricultural training philosophy. The level of the class subject will be suited to either the VET or TER stream.
v Plant Production Systems 1A or 1C/1D
v Animal Production Systems 1A or 1C/1D
Students will be attending farm one day a week with an option of a additional half day per week on farm. This will enable a student interested in agriculture to spend more time on farm.
Students will undergo a counselling process midway through Term 4 of Year 10 to review their progress in all areas and discuss a suitable stream for following into Year 11 based on ability and aspiration. ![]() |
